TOGA offers both a Basic Oyster Gardening course and, together with the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, an intensive Master Oyster Gardener Certification. The Basic Oyster 101 class is at a variety of locations throughout the year. TOGA membership is suggested but not required.

Master Oyster Gardener Course:
To become a Master Oyster Gardener, you start by submitting an application for this intensive experience that involves about 15 hours of training and 20 hours of volunteer time. Those that successfully complete all components will “graduate” to MOG status at the next TOGA annual meeting.
